The Green Market at Wellington: From Fresh Veggies to Handcrafted Gifts

November 1, 2017 | bridge

One of the major perks of living in a region that's warm year-round is that you aren't stuck with whatever produce the grocery store has available during the winter months. In Wellington, farm-fresh fruits, veggies, and other food can be had all year long. The Green Market at Wellington just kicked off at the beginning of October, in fact, and it will run through the end of April.

Come to Scott's Place Park next to the amphitheater to shop the dozens of local vendors who turn out to the market every Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Of course, you can expect fresh produce, only recently harvested from their fields, but you might be surprised to also find local honey, homemade salsa, and other pantry-ready foods. What's more, some local artisans sell their handmade jewelry and other unique items at The Green Market at Wellington, so you might even be able to check some holiday gifts off your list after a visit.
