Family-Friendly Halloween Fun Awaits at Spookyville in Yesteryear Village This October
October 3, 2017 | bridge
Yesteryear Village welcomes guests year-round to learn about what life was like in Florida before 1940. The living history park consists of 25 historic buildings, staffed by historians and actors plucked directly from the early 20th century. They share their stories with guests most of the year, but in October, it's all about the Halloween fun. Costumed volunteers dole out candy and smiles at Spookyville in Yesteryear Village the weekends of October 20th, 27th, and on Halloween night.
True to its main mission, Yesteryear Village throws it back with an old-school Halloween celebration that focuses on time-tested traditions. Bring along your whole brood to enjoy the park-wide trick-or-treating, some festive arts and crafts activities, rides for children, and other family-friendly attractions. If you come on Sunday, October 22nd or 29th, wear your Halloween costume and compete in the costume contest. These days will also offer food and drink. Tickets are $10 and parking is free.
