Kids Can Tap Into Their Creative Side at the Wellington Community Center
April 3, 2017 | bridge
Kids just wanna have fun, and luckily the Wellington Community Center offers tons of opportunities to do just that with a broad array of classes. For younger artists, there are classes that offer instruction in a variety of mediums, from colored pencils to painting. For teens, there's a cool Watercolor Batik class. This method combines melted wax with watercolors to create unique masterpieces on rice paper.
A different kind of creativity can be explored in the kitchen with the Cooking: Fun with Kids classes offered to ages 8-13. Each week a chef leads a 1.5-hour-long class where kids can make everything from pizza to cupcakes and learn science and teamwork while doing so.
Classes run for six-week sessions, and you can find prices and session dates online.
