Stop and Feed the Giraffes at Lion Country Safari
January 29, 2016 | bridge
Nearly a thousand creatures live at Lion Country Safari, and when you drive through the park, you can get up close and personal with all of them. Steer your car right into the heart of the park, and pretty soon you'll be neck and neck with lazy lions, slow-moving tortoises, and even long-legged giraffes. Rhinos, elephants, and antelope roam around the plains, too, passing cars as they drive along the four-mile road.
You can actually stop to feed the giraffes, or rent a cabin and stay overnight at Lion Country Safari. And if you'd rather zoom down a water slide than watch a lion yawn, head to the amusement park instead. You're allowed to get out of your car here. In fact, it's required if you want to zip around one of the curving water slides or climb aboard one of the rides.
